Community power, social boundaries, enduring capacity, command and cooperative power, Rizal province
ABSTRACT
This study generally approaches the study of power as a metaphysical question—instead of being methodological—and delineates the conditions, structures, and processes that could make power a mutual or one-sided relationship; and hence addresses the issue of power distribution. By probing into the dynamics of community power in the two communities of Rizal province, this research describes the character and social dimensions of community power. It specifically underscores the conditions, structures or processes that could promote or deter power distribution at the community level. The study then elaborates upon the different avenues and processes along which ordinary people could exercise power in their everyday activities.
