ABSTRACT

This study explored at how parents perceived and dealt with their children’s online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a purposive sampling method a total of 225 parents of secondary school pupils and college students participated in an online survey to get their opinions on a range of topics related to online learning, including workload, technology, motivation, physical health, grades, the quality of education, data privacy and safety, and mental health. According to the findings, parents were extremely concerned about their kids’ workload, technology use, motivation, physical health, grades, educational quality, data privacy and safety, and mental health when engaging in online learning.

In general, the study emphasizes how critical it is to comprehend families, especially parents’ viewpoints and challenges about their children’s online learning throughout the epidemic. This could assist educators and decision-makers in formulating plans to address the many issues brought up by parents and guarantee that students have the assistance and tools they need to flourish in online learning environments.
